Back to school? Back to the Pool!

Hello to all past, present and future Chena families. We are excited to announce 3 days in September where we will be running assessments:

Tuesday, September 7th @ Harry Jerome
Thursday, September 9th @ Harry Jerome, and,
Saturday, September 11th @ Ron Andrews

To view the times available on each day, and, to register your child for an assessment, please go to our Assessment Registration Page. Each assessment will include about 15min of pool time for your swimmer.

Closer to September, we will be sending out another email with details about where to show up, what you need to bring and other procedures.

If your child has already been assessed, or has swam with Chena Skills recently, you do not need to be assessed again. You can see the result of your assessment here on our Class Placement List. When registration opens, simply view the class you have been invited to join, navigate to our Registration Page, and register for that class. If you want to register for a class that is different from the one we have invited you to, please reach out to us by email.

Fall Schedules Coming Soon!

Head Coach Vincent is working hard to finalize schedules for the Fall. He is currently working on a second draft and will be ready very soon with the final version. As soon as a schedule is finalized I will be able to share with you dates, times and pools for our Skills and Junior classes.

What pools will we be swimming at?

As many of you know, Harry Jerome will be closing in January. In preparation for it's closure, Delbrook pool is undergoing maintenance and will be closed through September and part of October so that it can remain open once Harry Jerome closes. Ron Andrew's will be open as usual.

Registration Process

As our fall schedule is not yet finalized, registration for Bronze, Silver and Gold is not yet open. Please stay tuned for another email very soon!

On our Chena Skills website we have the full registration process listed as buttons. I have included them here again for your convenience. Feel free to forward this email to family and friends who you may think are interested in joining Chena!

Summer Skills Session

Chena Skills is well underway this summer and even after 4 classes I have seen some amazing improvements from everyone. Our Bronze classes have been having fun learning to kick and chasing each other with "What time is it Mr. Wolf?". Our Silver classes have been working on our Breaststroke kick and freestyle with some of us looking ready to race!

Saturday, August 28th Mini Meet

On our last practice we will be running a small and fun mini meet for all our Skills Swimmers. Our focus is on Team Spirit and having fun supporting each other with a mix of kicking, swimming, and relay races. Unfortunately at this time we still cannot have spectators on the pool deck. You are welcome to watch from the glass doors at the side of the pool, or by Live Video via our Youtube Channel. We will send out an email to you shortly before the racing begins.

On your swimmers last day we will be handing out report cards to your child. If you will be away for the last practice or the mini meet, please let us know so that we can prepare your report card early. Your report card will include your coaches recommendation for their next class.
