Kia ora circus whānau

With Covid-19 back on our shores and the current restrictions in place, our lives have changed once again. We understand that it can be a very stressful time for people in the circus industry but we have bounced back before and we can do it again!

In the meantime, we have some useful Covid-19 resources available on our website. We are here to support you, so please get in touch if you need assistance or have any other questions or concerns.

Reminder - AGM this Sunday!

The annual ANZCA AGM is still going ahead on Sunday, August 29th, 10am - 3pm. However, it will be an online only event.

• 10:00am - Welcome and introductions

  • Updates - For the circus industry and ANZCA

  • Financial report

  • Future - ANZCA’s plans for the upcoming year

• 12:30pm - AGM discussion groups

• 2:30pm - Wrap up/final thoughts

• 3:00pm - Finish

As part of the this year’s AGM, we will be presenting the strategy for the next 5 years. To promote discussion, we want our members to have a chance to review the document ahead of the meeting. Please have a read and note down any questions or comments you would like to discuss at the AGM.

Membership benefits

You don't need to be a member to attend the meeting, however, you will only be able to vote or nominate someone to join the steering committee if you have an active membership. As an active member you are also able to request a spot at the AGM to present a matter concerning the circus community in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Please get in touch with us if you would like to present something.

Here are some other great benefits of being a member:

• Access to awesome members-only resources (e.g., Circus Safe and the Experienced Riggers list).

• Access to a directory of ANZCA members and their profiles (see who else is out there).

• Being able to vote for steering committee members (who then lead the way forward for ANZCA and its priorities).

• And new features to help connect the community will continue to be added throughout the year.

Nominations are open now!

We have a few openings on the steering committee and will hold elections to fill these spots as part of the upcoming AGM.

We are looking for motivated individuals who want to help shape the future of ANZCA and make a difference to the circus community in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Nominations are open from today so have a think about whether you, or someone you know, might be a good fit. Please get in touch if you would like to nominate yourself or someone else or have any further questions.
