WGC Emergency Response Network Request - $1,000 - Can You Help?
The Women's Giving Circle of Howard County (WGC) is working to raise $1,000 or more through our Emergency Response Network (ERN) to support our nonprofit partner, Columbia Community Care (CCC) with their ongoing efforts to provide food and other necessities to members of our community.
Columbia Community Care began 18 months ago in response to the growing and dire needs of community members who continue to struggle in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. CCC has three food sites, has provided over 10,000 home deliveries, has engaged 100's of donors and volunteers, and has assisted close to 200,000 women, children, and families in Howard County.
"As we head into the fall, and with COVID on the rise again, our services continue to be as important as they were when COVID first began last March. We currently find ourselves in a situation of low funds to supply our pantries and sites and we humbly ask for your emergency support" says Erika Strauss Chavarria, CCC Founder. "Please help us replenish our account so that we can continue our services to the community."
On behalf of our partners at Columbia Community Care we are asking for $1,000 to support their ongoing efforts. Can you help? All donations will continue to go directly to this effort. Any amount is valued and appreciated.
"The efforts by the WGC and all the women who consistently give to support our friends and neighbors through CCC have been critical the past 18 months ... I appreciate the partnership to provide mutual aid" says Erika.
Thank you!
