Join our Digital Detox movement in 2021
 

In partnership with Walkabout Education, Arete is sponsoring a Digital Detox movement in the Bronx to open up opportunities for healing, rejuvenation, and a deeper connection to self and nature.

Hiking in Van Cortlandt Park

In August, we hosted our first community Digital Detox event at Van Cortlandt Park in The Bronx on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Led by the Walkabout Education team, our group experienced a beautiful day for hiking and spending time with family and friends (old and new!). Their day consisted of a hike and then a lunch from Kingsbridge Social Club. 

Ben Wild, Walkabout's Executive Director, reminds us, "As New York City's greenest borough, The Bronx is the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature." With that in mind, we look forward to planning more Digital Detox events before this fall.
