Rolling Warrior: Author Talk with Judy Heumann

Judy's new memoir adapted for young readers, tells her story of fighting to belong in school and society- a powerful role model for young adults with a passion for activism.

Learn about the disability rights activist who helped shape equal rights, inclusion and representation of people with disabilities. Judy, who formerly served as the Special Advisor for International Disability Rights at the US Department of State under the Obama Administration, will discuss her new book, Rolling Warrior: The Incredible, Sometimes Awkward, True Story of a Rebel Girl on Wheels Who Helped Spark a Revolution.

She will be interviewed by Jenny from the Center for Accessibility. Questions will be answered from the audience after the chat via Zoom and Facebook.

American Sign Language Interpreters and Real-Time Captioning will be provided. For other reasonable accommodations, please contact DCPLaccess@dc.gov at least seven days before the start of the program.
