There has been a lot of talk talking about talking about having a 'Krishna Neighborhood' somewhere around Ypsi/Detroit.
So I'm excited to invite you to our first 'Gora's Village Talk' this sunday evening 7:30pm.
Mitra Prabhu, a dear friend of our community, will preside over the discussion.
The intention is simply to bring in mature devotees, like Mitra prabhu, who have meaningful experience in some aspect of communal living - and to be able to ask questions to them and be sure our own vision takes into consideration their wisdom.
We'll bring in education folks, finance folks, farmer folks etc.
This week we have Mitra prabhu. He has built the last 2 homes he has lived in personally, and has been part of the development of several KC intentional communities over the years. He is a wonderfully affable and kind person, and I can't think of a better host for our first discussion.
We will share a link on Sunday - and there will be a $10 registration for entry into the zoom call. This money will be used to give a small honorarium to our speaker, and the rest set aside as seed money for property exploration when the need for soil/water testing, zoning paperwork etc. comes up.
Anyone is invited, but if you want to be part of this discussion you literally have to pay - because the commitment to live together is a serious thing.
It will also be a profound thing if we're able to do it well and these talks are meant to help ensure that we do.
