Lottie Saves the Polar Bears

A spine-tingling, Arctic Adventure with Lottie Lovall!

Crazy things happen as the Northern Lights dazzle in the Arctic sky!

Lottie is having a fun time with Amy on board an exciting cruise to Krystal Island. But then a special dog-sledding trip goes terribly wrong. Lottie and Amy are stranded on the sacred Krystal snow plain. The girls befriend two cute polar bear cubs playing by the magical Krystal Lake. Polar bears and humans have always stayed separate.
Until now!
Suddenly, Lottie is staring into the massive open jaws of a ginormous polar bear.
Then it speaks!
Lottie is about to discover a doomy secret. The girl detective is Krystal Island’s only hope. When evil awakens, Lottie’s detective skills must save the polar bears. If she fails, the polar bears will not survive.

Back to School!

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful summer and the children are now settled in their new class and like their new teacher! I have spent most of this summer in sunny Cornwall. It’s been a busy one for me!  I published Tillie and the Amazing Ghost Dog in May. It’s a spooky one! If you are familiar with the seaside town of Blackpool it will bring back some cherished memories for mums, dads and grandparents. The children will adore it. Who doesn’t love a story about puppy dogs, ghosts and fun fair rides? A visit to the Blackpool Illuminations is always exciting too.

On a more practical note, we decided the Cornish house was long overdue a serious refurbishment. So a new kitchen was installed during July. Three weeks of dust, noise, painting and decision making… I would rather be writing and illustrating, thank you very much!  It has been worth it, even though I keep saying, “This is our very last project!” It won’t be… I want a roof terrace in Lanzarote to make the most of those lovely sea views.

There’s nothing like practical work to get my creative juices flowing. As I’m painting walls with the music playing in the background, new ideas pop into my head. Which animals will Lottie Lovall International Investigator save next? I love it when my readers suggest endangered animals Lottie could save for the next book in the series. It would be great for Lottie to save the elephants next but I need to see them in their natural environment for best writing research. Before the pandemic, we had a trip planned to South Africa, mainly to watch the rugby, but like many people's plans that went out of the window. We’ll have to see how things go in 2022.

Happy reading to all my Lottie Lovall and Tillie Longbottom fans. Keep up with that reading practice to be top of the class... and I hope you discover lots of free books for kids and grown-ups by joining
Hello Books.
