Junior Great North Run: An amazing day!
Great North Run weekend is always a fantastic celebration of running, and it was no different this weekend as Blyth's juniors were involved both running and volunteering at this iconic event. A huge well done to all our juniors who took part in the Mini and Junior (results below) races, and it was also great to see our juniors Evan, Ruby, Eleanor, Chloe and Holly volunteering.
Sprint Relays: Team Blyth enjoy relay success!
The sprint relays are a traditional end of season event, and it was great for our young athletes to have the opportunity to work together to get the baton round as fast as possible! Our small team produced some fine performances as we finished in 6th place overall. It was great to see several athletes taking part in their first relays for the club, whilst the U15 girls team smashed the club record in the 4x100m as they took victory. Our U15 mixed and girls teams also took down the club records in their races.
Here are the XC fixtures for this season, with more to follow. To find out more, ask any of the coaches. The club will pay your entry fee for all of these events! If you wish to be registered for the Harrier League, please email Ralph ralphdickinson@btinternet.com
Make sure you have Blyth as your club in your profile so you are included in our report!
We have a new group starting soon! Contact Steve Walker for more details!
Forthcoming Events

Being part of Team Blyth can be so much more than just coming to training and doing competitions - we really want to develop well-rounded young people that are confident and willing to get involved in all aspects of the sport they love.
The first step on the coaching pathway, and a fantastic qualification for any young person to have is the "Leading Athletics" course offered by England Athletics. Its open to anyone aged 14+, and the club will pay course fees. Its all online/remote - so why not get signed up?

We are delighted to be able to launch the Team Blyth kit range! https://www.kitlocker.com/yourclub/club/team-blyth...

A huge thanks to Michael McKenna for setting this up, and Ross Pichler for the graphic design.

Please double check the sizes as nothing can be returned with them having logos and possibly initials on too. If it doesn’t state men’s or women’s on a particular item, it will be based on male sizing so girls might need to go down a size.
We have an upgraded website. www.teamblyth.com. Watch out for exciting additions in the coming months, including an athlete portal!
