I hope you and yours are doing well and that you have enjoyed a marvelous summer. It has been such a delight to get out into the healing beauty of nature and connect with loved ones. Alas, the fall is bringing spikes in COVID. I want to let you know the board of the Alan Day Community Garden has decided the best way to take care of our community is to postpone Light the Garden once again due to health concerns. We hope you will be able to join us in the spring when, hopefully, the pandemic will have passed. 

Light the Garden is our only annual fundraising event, and unfortunately we have had to cancel it for two years in a row. So, I am writing to let you know about our Garden to Table Project in hopes that you will support this venture. We are planning to build a kitchen/classroom/greenhouse addition onto the barn. This will expand our capacity to offer food, cooking classes, and other youth and adult programs year-round with a certified kitchen. I am enclosing our packet of information that I believe you will enjoy. Please take a moment to look it over. There is information about the wide range of programming the garden is committed to, a letter from a student leader, blueprints and testimonials from folks who have been positively impacted by the community garden. We would love to hear your story, too.
