Ο Πρόεδρος της AOPA Hellas, Κυπριανός Μπίρης μίλησε στον τηλεοπτικό σταθμό ΣΚΑΪ και την εκπομπή Σαββατοκύριακο Παρέα για το Fly In Κυθήρων και την Γενική Αεροπορία.

Η AOPA Hellas οργάνωσε το Fly In Γενικής Αεροπορίας στα Κύθηρα, με αφορμή τον εορτασμό για την συμπλήρωση 50 χρόνων από την έναρξη λειτουργίας του αεροδρομίου. Προσέφερε γεύμα σε παραδοσιακή ταβέρνα του νησιού με προσκεκλημένους τον Αερολιμενάρχη, το προσωπικό του αεροδρομίου και τους συμμετέχοντες πιλότους και φίλους τους ενώ απένειμε τιμητική πλακέτα στον Αερολιμενάρχη και Κ/Τ Κυθήρων με χαρακτηρισμό του αεροδρομίου ως το “Φιλικότερο Αεροδρόμιο για τη Γενική Αεροπορία στην Ελλάδα”. Ακόμη, πραγματοποίησε πτήσεις “εθισμού” χωρίς χρέωση με κατοίκους του νησιού ώστε να γνωρίσουν την Γενική Αεροπορία.

Αναφορά σε δυο θεματα της AOPA Hellas στο μηνιαίο Newsletter του ευρωπαϊκού IAOPA. Πρόκειται για την 9η Athens Flying Week και την εκτενή αναφορά στις υψηλές χρεώσεις των 14 αεροδρομίων της Fraport στην Ελλάδα.

4&5 Σεπτεμβρίου 2021
Το Σαββατοκύριακο 4&5 Σεπτεμβρίου πραγματοποιήθηκε η 9η Athens Flying Week στην Αεροπορική Βάση της Τανάγρας. Η AOPA Hellas υποστηρίζει πρωτοβουλίες που προωθούν την Αεροπορική Ιδέα και για μία ακόμη χρονιά εκπροσώπησε την Γενική Αεροπορία με την παρουσία του Προέδρου της AOPA Hellas και μελών του ΔΣ. Περισσότερες πληροφορίες για την Athens Flying Week 2021 θα είναι διαθέσιμες στο ΗΔΕ Σεπτεμβρίου.

AOPA Hellas organized the General Aviation Fly In in Kythira, on the occasion of 50 years of operation of the airport. The dinner for the Airport Manager and Tower Operator as well as the airport staff and the participants was offered complimentary by AOPA Hellas in a traditional restaurant. An honorary plaque was also awarded by AOPA Hellas to the Airport Manager and Tower Operator of Kythera with the designation of the airport as the "Friendliest Airport for the General Aviation in Greece". Free pleasure flights were offered to local residents of the island in order to promote General Aviation.

Report of two issues of AOPA Hellas made it in the monthly Newsletter of the IAOPA Europe. These are the 9th Athens Flying Week and the extended report regarding the expensive charges at Fraport airports in Greece.

September 4 & 5 2021
The 9th Athens Flying Week took place at the Tanagra Air Base on the weekend of September 4th & 5th. AOPA Hellas supports initiatives that promote the Aviation Idea and as always represented General Aviation with the presence of the President of AOPA Hellas and members of the Board.
