Farming with your Pelvic Floor
Greetings Farmers Wellness Circle community!


Today, I’m celebrating...MYSELF! 
4 years ago after the challenging birth of my second son, I ended up with a prolapse.
10 months later I was becoming the creator, owner and manager of Stonegrove Farm & Wellness Studio and starting to officially farm (we were raising goats beforehand but living in town).

When you have a prolapse you’re not supposed to lift heavier than 10lbs...Well, it wasn’t an option not to farm and carry my baby on my back and carry buckets and pull chicken tractors, etc. 

This is when I started to turn my yoga knowledge towards my own farming needs.

Today, I’m able and capable of lifting, pulling, pushing as much as my husband (ok almost) but I feel so much more empowered and this due to my yoga movement creation to strengthen, stretch & sustain my physical, emotional & mental health. 

I still have a prolapse, I just incorporate more awareness in my farming to deal with it the best ways. I know now how to strengthen, relax & use my body in harmony with the way I farm.


I want to celebrate YOU too!! I want to pass on my knowledge so that you feel empowered as well and keep up with the amazing & important work you’re doing! 

No need to have pelvic floor issues to connect to it, no need to be a woman only to practice, as men have a pelvic floor too!

Most of your physical efforts should come from the activation of your pelvic floor muscles on your exhales.

First step is notice what’s happening “down there” when you work, then repeat often the breath practice linked below. No need to be seated and in yoga clothes to do it, I usually do it in my bed before sleeping, when I used to breastfeed my son, in the car driving, having a conversation standing up!

In a comfortable position of your choice, practice this breath that will support toning & relaxing of your pelvic floor muscles. 
Inhale to soften the muscles, exhale to contract them. 
Activating pelvic floor muscles in all 4 directions: from the sacrum to the pubic bone and from the inner thighs. 
My hands are there to show a little visualization to enhance your connection to these muscles.

Who am I anyway?
And what am I up to?

Originally from France, I ended up marrying the son of my WWOOFING host (his mom) and eventually buying out her property and turning it into our own micro-farm and a Wellness Studio! 


My husband is a Registered Massage Therapist as well as a farmer.

I am a Certified Yoga Teacher with a specialization in Anatomy.
I’ve been teaching for 10 years and over 2,000 classes.

This Spring I offered a short free online version of my Yoga For Farmers to the EFAO, and donated two of these workshops to the Ignatius Farmers Training.

Coming up for Canadian Heart & Soil Magazine, my article “Flow with the Fall” will be available in a couple of weeks in September with exclusive content to support farmers in the peak of the harvest.
