Concerned about Climate Change and its Realities?
Join our ZOOM Event This Saturday!
We have rescheduled our first event of the school year for this Sat., September 18, via ZOOM from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
All are welcome to join us for an engaging hour focused on Climate Change and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We have an exciting guest speaker, Ema Phelps, a UN A 2021-2022 Global Goals Ambassador and a Climate Reality Leader. Ema plans to:
- Share her "Climate Reality" story
- Lead a Q & A about YOUR climate concerns
- Highlight the UN SDGs related to local issues and beyond
- Discuss her recent relocation from northern California to St. Louis
New to Civitas? This would be a great event to attend.
We will draw names at the end of the hour for attendance prizes.
In addition to our guest speaker, we will talk briefly about what Civitas hopes to offer this school year, including important dates for Model UN participation.

NEW Country Draft Date!
Saturday, October 9th at Webster University
The Country Draft will be Saturday, October 9 from 9:30 am-11:30 am.
School groups need at least one person to attend the country draft with a list of countries that represents all members of the group (and a few reserve countries). EVERYONE FROM YOUR GROUP IS WELCOME TO ATTEND THE DRAFT!!
Teachers are welcome, too.
Please let us know which Model UN session your school plans to attend before the country draft date. Session choices:
Model UN Session A (9:00 am-12:00 pm) on Saturday, November 20 at Webster University (same location as country draft).
Model UN Session B (1:00 pm-4:00 pm) on Saturday, November 20 at Webster University (same location as country draft).
Model UN Session C (9:00 am-12:00 pm) on Saturday, December 4, via ZOOM.
