Greetings TTRW registrant,
 
We hope you’re all as excited as we are at the prospect of participating in some of the provinces most stunning, rugged and unique trail running events! We're just over a week away from race day and we have more important details to share. In case you missed our last email it can be seen at this link and contains more valuable information. New updates:
 
1. Online Forms. Each participant is required to fill and sign both the online waiver and the health information form prior to arriving at the host site. These can be filled out now at the links below:

2. Covid Pre-Screen Test. Below is the link to the Canatrace Covid Pre-Screen Test all participants and volunteers are required to execute on the morning of their respective event. Please have the green check-mark screen readily available when arriving at Race-Kit Pick-Up.

3. Race Kit-Pickups. All Race Kit-Pickups will now occur on the morning of your respective event. No Race-Kit Pick-Ups will be available on the day prior to your event. Event participants must pick-up their own race kits. These new protocols are in place so we can review your Covid Pre-Screen Test on the morning of your respective event. Marathon and ½ marathon Race-Kit Pickup as well as the Start/Finish Area will be hosted at the Tobermory Community Centre. Flowerpot Island 5K participants will pick-up their kits at the Blue Heron Dock.
 
4. Our new schedule of events is as follows:
 
Friday September 17, 2021:
4pm-8pm - Volunteer Check-In at the Tobermory Community Centre
 
Saturday September 18, 2021:
5:00am – 8:00am Volunteer Check-In
6:00am-6:45am – Marathon and Marathon Relay Participant Race-Kit Pick-Up
7:00am-7:05am - Marathon and Marathon Relay Participant Starts
6:15am-7:15am – Half Marathon Participant Race-Kit Pick-Up
7:30am-7:45am – Half Marathon Participant Starts
9:15am-1:00pm – Half Marathon Finishes
10:45am-2:00pm – Marathon Finishes
10:00am-2:00pm – Awards available for pick-up for category and masters winners
 
Sunday September 19, 2021:
5:00am-6:00am Volunteer Check-In (at the Blue Heron Dock)
5:30am-6:15am FPI5K Participant Race-Kit Pick-Up (at the Blue Heron Dock)
6:15am – 6:30am Board the ferry to Flowerpot Island
6:45am – FPI5K Pre-Race Meeting (on Flowerpot Island)
7:00am-7:15am FPI5K Staggered Starts
7:25am-8:15am FPI5K Finishes
8:45am Return to Blue Heron Dock
 
5. Course and Race Details Updated. Please see the respective “Need to Know” page on our website which have been updated with many new details pertaining to this years event. There are many changes from previous years so please review these pages prior to arrival at the host site.
 
6. Staggered Starts & Seeding. For the marathon and ½ marathon we’ll be sending participants off in waves of 25 or less at the following times:
  • 7:00am Marathon Wave 1
  • 7:05am Marathon Wave 2
  • 7:30am ½ Marathon Wave 1
  • 7:35am ½ Marathon Wave 2
  • 7:40am ½ Marathon Wave 3
  • 7:45am ½ Marathon Wave 4
We need all marathon and ½ marathon runners to fill out the google form at this link ASAP (do it now please if you haven't already) so we can seed you properly: https://forms.gle/YTMjmsghFBdwBdLo8. We’ll send the wave start lists next week so participants can see which wave they’ll be starting in.
 
Flowerpot Island 5k participants have already selected their estimated finish time on their registration form and will be sent off in waves of 10, or less.
 
7. Volunteers Needed. We’re still in need of a few volunteers for Saturday’s events, namely sweep runners/hikers. If you have family, or friends coming with you to the event and they’d like to help out, please email tien.angus@hotmail.com.
 
8.  Transfers. The last day to transfer entries, or “swap bibs” is today, September 10, 2021.
