All Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to attend.  Please sign up in Naviance prior to the visit and pick up your pass the morning of the visit before school in the College & Career Center Room 126. 

Seniors: Make it Happen Mondays start TODAY during the lunch periods in the College and Career Center. Bring any questions you have about choosing a career or applying to college. Counselors will be available to help you during your lunch period.

Orchesis Dance Company AUDITIONS begin on Tuesday, September 14th. Come to the Multi-Purpose Room by 3:45 in dance attire ready to learn the choreography that will be performed the following week. Reach out to Mrs. Driscoll with any questions!

Sophomores and Juniors: Come on out to Explore Day at Technology Center of DuPage on Wednesday, Oct 27th. Set out on an adventure and discover your talents. 18 Career and Technical Education Programs to choose from. The day will occupy Periods 1-4 and we will travel via bus to TCD. Pick up your registration and parent permission form at CSSS Room 104. Deadline to register is October 3!

 
Operation Snowball: We're looking for juniors and seniors who have attended at least one Snowball event to be small group Leaders! This is an amazing opportunity to gain peer leadership experience, working with an awesome group of fellow North students to plan a one of a kind in-person retreat. Find the app in the Snowball classroom. Code: ipt4nuh Apps are due on Monday, September 13th at 8:00am.

Attention Government Club Students! Our next meeting will be before school on Tuesday (9/14) at 7:30 AM in Room 202. We will discuss upcoming opportunities we have planned. Information is located on Google Classroom (Code: xun2slg). 

Attention ALL CHANGEMAKERS! We will hold our first meeting on Tuesday, Sept 14 in the Community Room. Meetings will take place at 7:30am and during each lunch period, attend when you can! Looking forward to seeing you!

IMANI tryouts for September 14th, 15th 16, at 3:45 in the commons we will meet up

College admission representatives will begin visits in the College and Career Center today. Check your email for a message from Mrs. Manderino that provides directions to sign up.

The women in STEM club is meeting Tuesday 9/14 at 7:15am in room 307 for calculator coding. Please bring your TI83 or TI84 to the meeting. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Weishaar or Mrs. Marrs or look at google classroom code wvvyfl5. Hope to see you there!

2021 Yearbooks are still available in the student Activities office, please stop by as soon as you can.

Attention French Club! On Tuesday, September 14th after school we will enjoy some delicious French macaron cookies and head outside to play petanque. Sign up for this fun event now in Google Classroom.

Attention all those interested in the Investment Club: We will be having our first meeting of the year next Wednesday, 9/15 at 7:00 AM in room 303 (this is a new room). Hope to see you there!

Attention Psychology Club: Do you want to be hypnotized??? Come to room 200 Wednesday, September 15th from 3:30-4:30 to see Mr. North's presentation. To be eligible to be hypnotized, please bring the signed permission slip and have it out on your desk.

Processing spaces provide you with an environment to use your skills and identities to engage in critical reflection, learning, and processing through potentially traumatic events that affect your lives. The first processing space of the school year will take place on Thursday, September 16th. Watch for am email with a link to sign up.

Are you looking to take your leadership skills to the ELITE level? Then come join your fellow DGN students for a one day Fall Leadership Workshop hosted by the ELITE leadership team up in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Stop by Student Activities or check out the DGN Webstore, under the student activities section, for registration information. Spots are filling up fast so make sure to get your registration submitted by Friday September 17th. 

Attention anyone interested in joining Morning Basketball: Please stop by room 303 before school any day this week to receive information on playing basketball before school. All are welcome!

Students, keep an eye out for a Positively Awesome recognition note in your email.  When teachers and staff see you being respectful, responsible, and engaged, they will send you one of these recognitions.  Once you get a recognition, go to the bookstore, show them the recognition note and pick up a prize.  Students nominated will be entered into a weekly raffle to win an exclusive DGN t-shirt.  One Positively Awesome student will win a t-shirt from each grade level.  T-shirt prizes will be delivered to classes on Friday. 

Are you interested in volunteering? Chamber630 is looking for student volunteers to help serve at their annual Taste of 630 event! The event takes place on Wednesday, September 29 and students will be needed between the hours of 5:30 and 9 p.m. at Seven Bridges Golf Club.
