Please be mindful of COVID-19 safety protocols; all volunteers must be vaccinated or fully compliant with CDC guidance including, wearing a mask, and social distancing. If you have any accessibility needs, please let Izzy Thissell know by emailing ithissell@virginiaturnout.org or calling/texting (978)-935-8108 so that we can make sure the event will be accessible and comfortable for you. - City of Manassas: EARLY IN-PERSON VOTER POLL GREETING! Help distribute our Democratic sample ballots to MANASSAS City residents voting early in-person at the City of Manassas Voter Registration and Elections office in the Harry J Parrish Old Town Hall Building, 9025 Center St, Manassas. Poll greeters–who simply hand out our Democratic sample ballots to voters arriving at our polling places–are vital to the success of our down-ballot local candidates. Many arriving voters have little or no awareness of the local candidates on their official ballot, which also does not display the party affiliation of any local candidate.

- DPVA Inside Poll Observers. The Democratic Party of Virginia (DPVA) seeks Democratic volunteers to serve as inside poll observers for Early Voting (September 17 through October 30) and/or for Election Day, November 2, 2021. DPVA asks all its Election Day inside poll observers to serve all-day (14+ hour) shifts (5:15 am to approx. 7:30 pm), but Early Voting poll observing will be in half-day shifts (approx. 8am-12:30pm and 12:30pm-5:30pm), presumably on multiple days. The poll observers must complete one 90-minute mandatory online training session, which will be held during the next two weeks and not recorded, but no previous experience or legal training is required. More information about the program and training, as well as the Poll Observer Commitment Form, can be found HERE.
