Sept. 16 BBQ at Crosswinds to Benefit Palliative Care
“Clucks for Bucks,” an annual chicken barbecue benefitting palliative care, was canceled in 2020 but marks its return on Thursday, Sept. 16, in the parking lot of Crosswinds Wesleyan Church, 3360 Middle Cheshire Road in Canandaigua.
The event – a drive-thru this year – will begin at 3 p.m. and continue until the chicken is sold out. Prepared by Grove Boys Catering of Naples, the meals will include a marinated half chicken, salt potatoes, coleslaw and a dinner roll. They cost $12 per person, with proceeds benefitting the Palliative Care Program at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, the skilled-nursing facility operated by UR Medicine Thompson Health on Parrish Street in Canandaigua.
Sahler Urges Community to Get Vaccine
A number of UR Medicine Thompson Health doctors are appearing in a series of videos urging community members to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The fifth and final video features Dr. Carl Sahler, an internist who recently retired from the Canandaigua Medial Group. Click here to view his video: https://youtu.be/WHG0c1VXzL8
