REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE INAUGURAL CHANGE ASIA-PACIFIC FESTIVAL 2021

Games for Change Asia-Pacific will host its inaugural free and virtual festival from October 5th-7th 2021 as part of Melbourne International Games Week. The festival showcases the best work being done across the Asia-Pacific region using games to improve health, education and social outcomes.

The Games for Change Asia-Pacific Festival runs from Wednesday October 6th to Thursday October 7th and features over 100 presenters from across the region. Keynote speakers include former Chief Game Designer for Google, Noah Falstein, and Carolyn Mee from local success story SoundScouts, whose hearing test app provides an accessible hearing test for children around the world. The Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (UNESCO) will host a session that explores how games can be used for social-emotional learning, including how games are being used to prevent violent extremism throughout Asia.

Pre-festival workshops will be held on October 5th, with topics including 3d printing, games lessons for educators hosted by ACMI, and an exploration of how games can be used to address the UNs Sustainable Development Goals in conjunction with RMIT University.
