Please see Anne Baldwin's email below regarding a significant proposed ordinance that will impact our County airports. Blue skies!

PALOMAR AIRPORT ASSOCIATION
Our Airports are home to many leases and licenses for the County of San Diego Department of Public Works and we wanted to make sure you were aware of the County of San Diego Board of Supervisors (Board) recent direction to establish Fair Employment Standards on County construction projects and county-owned leased property. I’ve attached a copy of Board’s direction for your reference.
The Board is tentatively scheduled to consider adoption of the ordinance to establish these baseline employment standards on County construction projects and for activities, enterprises, and operations on County-owned leased properties during the Board of Supervisors meeting on October 5, 2021.
There are multiple ways you can provide input and participate in the process regarding the proposed ordinance, including:
- Provide me with comments by responding to this email
- Attend a Virtual Roundtable tentatively planned for September 9th
- Details will be provided as we get closer to the event
- Attend the Board of Supervisors meeting tentatively planned for October 5th.
I have attached a copy of the relevant documents and translations of the ordinance are available on the County website at the following link: Ordinance
I will be reaching out to stakeholders by phone to discuss this action directly.
