Crispy!

Sticky skin, smooth skin, wet skin, bruised skin.
’KNAWED SKIN’

Apple smells and seed heads and the gold finches perched, bouncing.

Blue jays in the sunflowers.

ANOTHER HARVEST

The harvest is here and the glory— how lucky we are to be tuned into earthlife, to be in relationship with abundance, over-large cucumbers, armloads of parsley, hip deep in an un-ending overgrowth of small red tomatoes.
Fatima came to teach the Roses! Workshop— what a pleasure. She taught us some amazing healing practices, which she learned from her fairy godmother Mouna at Peaceful Earth/ Snow Mansion in Arroyo Seco New Mexico.

Heals all juice
Whole cucumber
Lettuce, even bolted is fine
Whole lemon with skin cut off
Garlic glove
Big bunch parsley

Blended up in a blender.
Drink throughout the day to do massive cleanse of the kidneys.
SEPTEMBER WORKSHOPS AND CAMPING

Colors are shifting towards reds, ochres and oranges here at the leading edge of New England— the water is warm for swimming, but the night time air is already chill. COME CAMPING for a long fall weekend!

Here are the workshops we'll be hosting in our remaining time this season on the farm.
More information can be found on our website.

Regenerative Grazing with Willy Reid and Jenn Eger; September 11 - 12

Biodynamics: Land, Sea, and Stars with Barbara Shinn; September 18 - 19

Whole Hog Butchery with Rob Cushman; September 24
As the workshop season comes into the final lap, we look forward to welcoming more helpers to the farmstead— to get our campus ready for winter.

Want to live on this dreamy farm and eat from our amazing gardens as a work trader?
Want to help us with painting projects during the day, and having access to our library and trails in the evenings?
Want to find a working holiday on a beautiful farm with beautiful shared meals at the end of a peninsula in remote Downeast Maine?

We could really use some extra hands with painting and have come up with an idea for work traders in September and October.

We have lots of beds, delicious meals, and kittens waiting for new friends.
