Hello friends, colleagues and supporters!

It’s been a while and we’ve missed you. As we begin (hope🤞🏽) to see light at the end of this COVID-19 tunnel, we want to check in. Like you, we’ve been busy adjusting to our new normal…

As many of you can relate, PATHFINDER has had a year full of challenges, adaptation, and resilience. We recognized early on that the pandemic was here to stay, and that it was going to be difficult for many of our clients, peers, and for small businesses in general. Hoping to offer some small abetment, we were happy to offer our support and pro-bono services to those who needed it. We also took the opportunity to reflect within, on our mission, objectives and such, to rebrand, and to expand in areas we’ve always meant to explore further
Goings On
We’ve been working up some exciting stuff with the Ugandan Conservation Through Public Health, with Zimbabwe based Institute of Sustainable Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, and North Carolina’s Elon University, among others. Stay tuned for more.
Shivani has recently returned from another child and maternal health project with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), this time in Sierra Leone. Not one to shy away from a challenge, she speaks of her time in West Africa as some of the toughest work she’s done, an incredible privilege, and one that’s changed her forever.

Collaborations

We are proud to have participated, along with other social impact stakeholders, in the development of the report New Allies: How governments can unlock the potential of social entrepreneurs for the common goodled by McKinsey, Catalyst 2030, Skoll Foundation, Ashoka, Schwab Foundation, and other industry leaders.

We continued this collaboration with Catalyst 2030, by working on solutions for development driven by people for themselves, and by contributing to new research on how and why companies collaborate with social enterprises to advance CSR goals, and the SDGs. The reportCatalysing Collaboration: How & Why Corporates & Social Enterprises Should Partner to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goalsincludes real-world partnership examples, collaboration models, and recommendations to scale impact.

Our world leaders meet frequently to decide what’s best for our planet. But is your reality represented? Join in, be counted and let’s share a snapshot of our lives, so our leaders are accountable for the changes we desire.

Press

We were interviewed by UN Women last year. The Leaders in Action piece, Innovation and Social Design for a Global Impact, follows our journey. The article explores our different backgrounds, skills, and strengths as a small team working  across continents. We hadn’t done one of these since our early days; it was quite fun.

And Jess was interviewed by Sud Ouest, a French newspaper about her career in international development and journey with PATHFINDER. It’s a good read (in French) about her life’s work and passion for social change.
Go Jess!

And Finally…

You may have seen that PATHFINDER has a new look. We’ve refreshed our image to be closer to how we feel: crisp, current and ready to go. Check out our new website and social media accounts (below). Tell us what you think; we’d love to hear from you!

PS: A quick shout-out and big thanks to fellow B Corp, Hobé Hosokawa Marketing, for helping us with our rebranding.
