Spring has Sprung!

The end of winter brings us into a season of beauty and change. There are so many reasons we look forward to Spring, and it’s a favourite season for many of us. It is the time of year when nature promises new life, joy, and hope. As the temperatures rise and the days become longer, we should be encouraged during these difficult times to make positive changes in all aspects of our lives.

Thanks to you, our shops have been given a new look for Spring! We have an array of wonderful garments, bright and colourful summer dresses, summer tops, trousers, scarves, jewellery, bric-a-brac and much more.

SCHOOL BAG-A-THON DRIVE

Amidst the doom and gloom, we were pleasantly surprised by the support we received from schools during the lockdown. Educators, learners and their parents filled hundreds of bags for our cause. Thank you so much to all the schools who have done us proud. It is encouraging to see educators instilling the joy of giving in their learners. As they mature in life, hopefully, they will remember these acts of kindness. As Dorothy Day said: “The best thing to do with the best things in life is to give them away”.

A special message from the Head of Pre-Pep

“On behalf of Carern Kieffer-Walker (Head of Pre-Prep), staff and all our families at the Pre-Prep, I would like to reiterate what a true blessing it is for us at Herschel Pre-Prep to be helping those in need in our community. We hope this gesture can bring them all some joy and comfort in these very difficult times. We admire your enthusiasm and for inspiring the children to make this campaign such a huge success”.
Golden Grove Primary School
Ms Amy Clark from Golden Grove Primary saw our delivery van on the road and called us to see how the school could get involved. The school had a successful campaign where the children were given a chance to fill bags during the holidays. Thank you so much for returning your bags filled with the most wonderful second-hand goods. Your continued support is much appreciated.

Thank you so much for your support

For many rural children, the meal provided by Goedgedacht is the only warm, nutritious meal that they receive at school.  We would like to thank you for your loyal support that has enabled Goedgedacht to provide these meals on an ongoing basis.
Greetings till next time.
