A Prayer for Labor Day

Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ in his earthly life shared our toil and hallowed our labor: Be present with thy people where they work; make those who carry on the industries and commerce of this land responsive to thy will; and give to us all a pride in what we do, and a just return for our labor; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

We continue to collect school supplies for Love Rockford. Drop items in laundry basket in the narthex.

Sunday School begins October 3rd during the 10:30 liturgy. We are in need of teachers for two classes ages 3-5 and ages 6-10. Students will meet in their classrooms at 10:30 and join their families at the Peace.

Teachers will be given all materials needed to teach the class.

The Book Group will meet at Diane's (5131 Regents Park Rd. 61107) September 14th at 7pm. The book is "Florence Adler Swims Forever." Beverages provided bring a snack to share.
