Learn the Stars, Constellations and Planets of Autumn

4 Week Class
Wednesdays 7-8 pm
September 8, 15, 22, 29, 2021
Fee $60/person

Learn the fall sky with a weekly virtual lesson presented on Zoom by John Meader of Northern Stars Planetarium for four weeks starting Wednesday evening September 8 at 7 pm. Each lesson will be roughly one hour long.

You will learn the constellations of late summer and autumn, the names of significant stars, as well as how to find the visible planets. Everyone will gain access to Stellarium and learn how to use this amazing free software for study and future reference.

Instructor John Meader

John is the director of Northern Stars Planetarium. John has been teaching astronomy in the planetarium since 1979. He worked at the Jordan Planetarium, the Francis Malcolm Science Center Planetarium, and now owns an operates Northern Stars. He has taught observational astronomy classes at University of Maine Orono, University of Maine Presque Isle, Loring Air Force Base, and Kennebec Valley Community College.
