Announcing a new initiative to convene a selected group of health-tech leaders at monthly dinners in London, England. This is invitation only, including leading entrepreneurs, investors, and clinicians and facilitating truly long-lasting business partnerships and social friendships.

Location: Chinese dim sum, Central London.

Palta UK secures £72 million Series B investment led by Per Brillioth at VNV Global, with participation of Target Global and other existing and new investors. Palta health products deliver preventative healthcare for its customers. Across its portfolio of consumer-centric health products, Palta has more than 100M active users over the last 12 months and 2.4M active paid subscribers in their apps like Flo.Health, Simple Fasting, Zing Fitness Coach and more. This latest funding round will be used to scale its product offerings in the health and well-being industry.

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust has agreed a new deal with Babylon Health to introduce its value-based care service, Babylon 360, to support patients at the trust’s nine GP practices. Building on their partnership in 2020 where they introduced a COVID-19 app to provide AI digital care to help support and monitor coronavirus patients in the community, their latest partnership aims to introduce an ‘integrated and accessible digital-first healthcare experience’ for 55,000 patients.

Asthma UK and British Lung Foundation has announced the winners of their £4 million asthma tech fund which aims to kick-start a revolution in asthma self-management by supporting the development and adoption of scalable and effective asthma health technologies, from concept stage through to scaling within the NHS. Winning projects include use of symptom tracking apps, home monitoring systems that detect wheezing in children and the development and the testing of a device which clips on to an inhaler and provides real-time inhaler technique support.

Livongo
Livongo was founded in the US with the goal of managing diabetes using a cloud-based glucose metre that allows data to be analysed by the company’s diabetes educators. The patient can also share this data with their doctor, friends and family. Using the data gathered, the user will be provided with insights on how to better manage their condition.
