Another Opportunity to Volunteer is coming up on September 12, 2021!

Join us as we again volunteer at The Peace and Friendship Farm!  Come for the whole time or just part of it!

The Peace And Friendship Farm is an agricultural site for commercial urban farming for veterans and community gardening and farming for residents in the Hill District neighborhood. All activities, including conservation, are led by veterans.

The farm has lost many volunteers over the pandemic and needs our help!

Activities may include light garden maintenance and:
  • Prepare and build out a Gravel Entry / Pathway
  • Prep / Level Area 30ft x 60ft space for Turf / Sod
  • Install Interior Groundhog Barrier with Welded Wire
  • Weeding
Bring water to drink and prepare for manual labor! We'll provide some refreshments and shade!

Our Sunday Assembly! Celebration will be held both in-person (weather permitting) AND on Zoom this month!  Please see COVID masking and distancing guidelines below!
COVID Protocol for Sunday Assembly Pittsburgh on September 19, 2021:
All attendees and volunteers are asked to please mask up when entering and leaving Community Forge, and when setting up/tearing down or moving around the venue.

Once seated -- socially distanced and in a pod of their choosing -- individuals may remove their mask during the Assembly itself.

Join us as we explore the topic of "Failure" through multiple lenses.


Who?  You!

Where?  You choose...in person or online!

In-person:  Yes, you read it right!  We will be gathering in the outside space at Community Forge, 1256 Franklin Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15221 (weather permitting, please check Facebook for up-to-date information)

Online:  Zoom!  The link will be shared via email (for subscribers), Facebook, and on our website (www.sapgh.org/virtual) one hour before the event.

What?  It will be a morning of community and togetherness, designed to celebrate the one life we know we have!  Our celebration will including songs, readings, a deep dive into the monthly topic, and MUCH more!

Then, in our 4th Quarter of 2021, we are going to try switching things up!  Rather than exploring only books, we will also delve into podcasts, documentaries, articles, etc.   Each month will still have a theme, and the format for discussion will not change.

Community Circle will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.  SAPgh Member, Niki Penberg, will be hosting.  For more information and to RSVP, visit the Event Page or the Community Circle Facebook Group.


Can you believe it will be SEVEN years since we had our first Assembly! ?  Yep, it's true!  Our first Sunday Assembly Pittsburgh community celebration was held on September 28, 2014.  

To celebrate, we'd love to have folx share their stories of how they found SAPgh, and what drew them to become part of our awesome community.  The stories will be shared on the website and social media posts throughout the month of September.
