Motherwell Football Club
Mental Health Support
I am getting in touch to introduce our brand-new session that will be taking place on Friday evenings at 9pm, Firpark Astro. ‘On the Ball’ is a weekly session that allows people concerned with their mental health or who have been socially isolated, access to support from various mental health organisations, a cuppa, and the opportunity for a kick about. This free and informal session will allow people to have access to help and advice either in a group setting as a team, or on a one-to-one basis while the rest of the group are playing. Different organisations will be in attendance each week including Suicide Prevention NL, ASC, and Time to Tackle, allowing football fans the opportunity to build their network of support from both local organisations and their new teammates. If you or anyone from your organisation would like to get involved and take part in a session, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we would love to have you. Similarly, if you have any clients that you think might benefit, they are more than welcome to turn up on the night, or if you have any further questions let me know. I would be delighted to hear from you and help as many people as possible get On the Ball.
