A unique blend consisting of mostly Trebbiano with traces of Malvasia, Ansonaco and at least two other local grape varieties of unknown origin. This is classified as a vegan orange wine, fermented on the skin for 12 days and aged in cement tanks for six months. The wine goes through spontaneous fermentation with natural yeast and is bottled without fining or filtration.

"A friendly orange wine (skin contact) with sliced oranges, peaches and an almond character. Full-bodied, oily and rich. A flavorful finish. Made from biodynamically grown grapes. Demeter certified."

Kepos is a blend of 80 percent Alicante Nero (Grenache), 18 percent Carignan and two percent Alicante Bouschet. The grapes are sourced from an area designated ‘Ampeleia di Sotto’, where the Mediterranean scrub dominates the landscape, permeating the air with its fragrances. The area covers 15 hectares, with 10 hectares under vine. This section of the estate includes the plots closest to the sea and are the most distinctly Mediterranean in character. The vineyards, found around 200 meters above sea level, are planted with traditional Mediterranean grape varieties, mainly Grenache. The grapes are destemmed, co-fermented and aged for 11 months in cement tanks, followed by 7 months in bottle prior to release. The wine is unfined and unfiltered. The Greek word ‘Kepos’ is synonymous with 'Garden', or any place where trees and herbs grow.

Carpineta Fontalpino is located in Montaperti, Castelnuovo Berardenga, just five kilometers outside of Siena in an area famed for an 800-year-old battle between Florence and Siena: The Battle of Montaperti. Known for being the only battle Siena ever won against Florence, it is a great source of pride for the Sienese as well as the winery, which is located just below the infamous hilltop. The area under vine is 31 hectares (about 77 acres). The classic Tuscan terroir, with galestro, silt and sandy soils and excellent exposure make for traditional wines, but there’s a twist. Enologist Gioia Cresti – who owns the winery along with her brother Filippo – was classically trained in France and applies many traditionally French winemaking tenets to her Italian wines. The winery is totally organic, inside and out, and holds the appropriate Italian certifications. They also strive to be as eco-sustainable and as self-sufficient as possible, thanks to solar panels and a water purifying system.

From 6 hectares in Montaperti, northeastern exposure, 1,082 feet (330 meters) above sea level and clay and sand with river stones from Pliocene era, rich in organic substances. Offers structure and perfume and all the trademark characteristics – color, tannins and structure as well as power and appeal – of a true Bordeaux blend. A classic French style meets skilled Italian winemaking in the unique terroir of Tuscany. The name Do ut Des, is Latin for “I give so that you may give.”

Cabreo Il Borgo debuted in 1985 with its 1982 vintage. Just above Greve in the Chianti region, the Cabreo holdings include 124 acres planted to Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grown to produce Il Borgo. Chianti’s famed stony soils are ideal for making wines with great aging potential. At 984 feet in elevation, the densely planted vineyards produce low yields of grapes with concentration and complexity. Fermentation at controlled temperature with extended maceration enhances the wine’s rich body, color and texture. After malolactic fermentation, the wines are blended and matured in oak barrels and spend at least six months in bottle before release. The word borgo refers to a small village, Montefioralle, that overlooks the vineyards.

"A balanced and fruity red with reserve and finesse. Medium body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Better in 2018 but already delicious. A beautiful blend of sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon." 
   
"The 2013 Il Borgo is soft, open-knit and pleasant. Sweet red cherry, red plum, spice and new leather are all pushed forward, in this soft, mid-weight red from the Folonari family. Although not especially complex, the 2013 is tasty and very nicely balanced."

Located north of the village of Greve in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, the Nozzole estate covers a striking, rugged, mountainous area of about 400 hectares, a third of which is vines and olive groves. Select parcels in the Tenuta di Nozzole estate are dedicated to Chianti Classico. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with 12 days of skin contact. The wine is matured for 12 months in 30 to 50 hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels. Aged in bottle for three months.

"A bright and fruity red with plum character and a dusty texture. Medium body, fine tannins and a fresh finish. Pretty wine. Drink now."

Il Pareto was first produced in 1987. At 350 meters in elevation, the 10-acre Il Pareto vineyard has clay soil with lime and gravel-size stones. The soil composition is ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon, with a high proportion of Galestro rock. The grapes are manually harvested, destemmed and crushed before fermentation and malolactic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Maceration on the lees promotes the extraction of optimal color and fine, structured tannins. The wine is aged for 16 months in French oak (part new part old) and six months in bottle before release.

"Loads of blackcurrants and berries with hints of mint. Full body, very firm and cool tannins. This is racy and long. A beautiful, pure cabernet sauvignon.”

"The 2018 Garnacha De Fuego is always a delicious fruit bomb that delivers the goods. Lots of ripe black cherry, plums, licorice, and roasted herbs all dominate the bouquet. It's rounded and supple on the palate, has beautiful fruit, plenty of classic Grenache character, and even has a touch of minerality, which is just about impossible to find in a Grenache at this price point. It's a smoking good value that's ideal for drinking over the coming 2-3 years."
