Children's Ministry Covid Mitigations
Due to the circulating and highly contagious Delta variant, CDC currently recommends universal indoor masking by all students (age 2 and older), staff, and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of their vaccination status. Therefore, our PRG Team has decided that effective immediately, ALL participants and volunteers in children's ministry (Nursery, Sunday School, Wednesday Nights, special events, etc.) are required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status when indoors.

Courthouse Christian Preschool & Afterschool

We are so excited for a new school year! Yesterday was the first day of school, and we have hit the ground running!

If you would like to send a prayer to the preschool for a happy, healthy, amazing year,
click here! Stephanie will collect these prayers and present them to the Preschool on Monday, September 13.
Caring for One Another

During this time when we are physically distant from one another, we are joined to one another in prayer. Click on the image above to open our current prayer list. To add to or update information on the prayer list, email Stephanie at stepht@ccumc.net.

We are looking for Prayer Warriors. People who love to Pray. Pray for what or who you ask? Pray over our weekly Prayer List, be willing to pray if an immediate need comes in. Pretty simple. If you are interested please click the image above.

Have you heard about Stephen Ministries?  They are people within your church providing one-to-one care to people going through a crisis or difficult time.  We currently have several people available to meet with you.

For more information, call Sharon Potter at 757-630-4148.

You are loved. You are missed.

I'd like to Zoom/talk with you and pray with you and remind you that God loves you, so do I, so does your church.

If you would like to set up a time to talk, even for five minutes, click or tap the image above to email Stephanie.
Caring for Our Community

The National Church

We continue to pray for those affected by Hurricane Ida. Please remember that any work related to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) will start only after all the first responders leave the area. There will be more specific calls to help in the coming weeks and months. The Virginia Conference strongly advises against any self-deployment to these areas. The work of recovery will continue in the coming months and years, and Serving Ministries invite churches to be part of this long journey. Learn more
How We Are Helping
Earlier this week, Essential Church (a local mission-focused church) sent a 26' truck of food south for hurricane relief. The Storehouse Food Pantry donated about 25 cases of food to the effort during their collection on Sunday.
