  • Charlottesville Police Dept. and Chick-fil-A Pantops/Barracks Road are hosting recruiting tables at PVCC today, Tuesday, September 7.  On Thursday, September 9, Pippin Hill and Visiting Angels want to talk with you. Stop by and talk with them about their job opportunities between 12-2pm in the Bolick Student Center in the Main Building. 
  • Virginia Career Works Outdoor Job & Experience Fair  is TODAY Tuesday, September 7, 1-3pm at Friendship Court Apartments. 25+ employers from a number of industries (healthcare/human services, education, manufacturing, retail, hospitality and construction) will be on-hand to talk with you about their job opportunities. The list of employers includes Advance Auto, Angelic's Kitchen, Anthology Senior Living, Aramark Dining, At Home Care Staffing, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central VA, Carter Mountain/Crown Orchards, Chick-fil-A, Fairwinds, Food Lion, Harvest Table Culinary Group, Home Instead, Jaunt, Kroger, Millenium One Security, Pepsi-Cola, Plow & Hearth, Region Ten, RMC Events, Three Notch'd Brewing, Waffle House, Walmart Store & Distribution Center, Wegmans, Worcester Eisenbrandt, VA ABC, Yay-Lunch and YMCA Early Learning Center
  • PVCC's Club Day is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 8, 10am-2pm in the Bolick Student Center. Getting involved in clubs is a great way to meet like-minded people *and* to add to your resume! Check out PVCC's list of clubs - whether you can make it to the event or not.
  • Attention Tech Job Seekers, Shift/Enter is hosting an affordable ($8), virtual Job Seeker's Workshop this Saturday, September 11 from 9:30-3pm. There is no easier way to connect with local professionals to get resume feedback, do a mock interview and/or learn about their career paths.  Register by tomorrow, September 8. If you want a scholarship to attend, email your resume to careers@pvcc.edu.
  • Attention PVCC IT / Cyber students:  the U.S. State Department has a Foreign Affairs IT Fellowship which is a two year program that provides up to $75,000 in academic funding for your junior and senior years of college.  There is an information session geared toward community college students on Wednesday, September 8 at 2pm. The deadline to RSVP is TODAY, Tuesday, Sept. 7.
  • Interested in the FBI?  They have an Internship Program that is a great way to kick off your career if you can be at one of their main offices (Cville is not one of them). They are hosting three virtual information sessions this week on September 9 at 9am, September 10 at 5:30pm, and September 11 at 10am.  RSVP ASAP to reserve your seat (they have limited capacity).
  • If you love making a difference in children's lives and can work M-F, 2:30-6:30pm, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central VA want to talk with you at any of their hiring events on Wednesdays, 11am-1pm  through September. They pay $15/hour.
