Our pilot project, I Heart Market Street, was held the last two weekends of August and pedestrianized Market Street from Front Street to The Esplanade. We want to hear from everyone what they thought of this initiative. Please complete the survey now, and share within your network. Survey: Toronto Public Health (TPH) is currently engaging in efforts to have the simple possession of drugs decriminalized.
It is widely understood that drug addiction and drug overdoses are experienced to a great extend in the City of Toronto. Toronto Public Health (TPH) is currently engaging in efforts to have the simple possession of drugs decriminalized. As part of their efforts they are asking for input from various stakeholders including members of the public such as yourself via a short and simple survey. We know that this topic is of great concern in our community.
Note: The Toronto Police Service has taken the position that it is imperative to strike the appropriate balance between public health and public safety, in a manner that improves quality of life and well-being for all of our communities. To be clear, Toronto Police Services sees the impacts of drug use on our community, and how the power of addiction can destroy lives. The Toronto Police Service supports the Four-Pillar approach of Prevention, Treatment, Harm Reduction and Enforcement, in addressing issues related to drug use, possession, production and /or trafficking.

What is a Business Improvement Area? A Business Improvement Area (BIA) is made up of commercial and industrial property owners and their non-residential tenants who join together under a volunteer Board of Management (BIA Board) to carry out improvements and promote economic development within their designated area.
