Want to learn more about the St. Jude Parish Young Adult Group? Looking for the right time to come out to an event? Now's your chance! We'll be hanging out on the Shady Ave. side lawn at Sacred Heart with coffee and donuts this Sunday following 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Mass.

Sunday, Sept. 19 following 7:45 p.m. Mass

Not one for coffee? Join us for Sunday evening Mass followed by a pizza social on the Shady Ave. side lawn at Sacred Heart. Meet and mingle with other young adults from the area and learn more about the group.

Saturday, Sept. 18 at St. Raphael Church

Join us at St. Raphael Church for a Holy Hour and Outdoor Movie Night on Saturday Sept. 18!
7:00 p.m. - Holy Hour and Adoration
Spend time in quiet reflection with the Lord.
8:30 p.m. - Outdoor Movie by the Bonfire
Enjoy a screening of The Two Popes on the lawn by the bonfire pit.

New Groups Starting This Month
Young Adult Small Groups at St. Jude Parish

Join the St. Jude Parish young adults for small group faith formation! Choose from a Bible Study or book club format. Sign up using the form linked below!

The Bible Study will use The Story of Salvation by FOCUS and meet on Mondays at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart for 7 weeks starting Sept. 27.

The Book Club will read The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis on Tuesdays at 7pm at Sacred Heart over 5 weeks starting Sept. 28.

Ongoing Events

Looking for a way to meet other young adults in our parish and neighborhood? Meet up during one of our ongoing events. Following Mass, look for us at the entrance of the church.

Wednesday Mass & Social | St. Raphael Church - Join us for Wednesday evening Mass at St. Raphael Church followed by a social meetup with either a bonfire or outing. Rosary starts at 6:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of Brunch this Sunday, meet us on the lawn for coffee and donuts!
2nd & 4th Sunday Brunch | Sacred Heart Church - Following 9:00 a.m. Mass on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, meetup with other young adults to walk to S. Highland Ave. for brunch at The Urban Tap at 10 a.m.

EVENTS IN OUR AREA

Capuchin Café
Saturday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.
St. Augustine Church, Lawrenceville

Join in an evening of Eucharistic Adoration, praise & worship, preaching and confessions followed by a café social with homemade baked goods, coffee, and live music featuring Dayton based singer-songwriter, Kevin Heider. Adoration will be in St. Augustine Church (225 37th St, 15201) and the social in Hyacinth Epp Hall just down the hill. Check out the Facebook event for more info.

Image and Likeness:
an exhibition of sacred art
Through Sept. 17
The Port, 3620 Butler St. Lawrenceville

The Capuchin Friars have announced the opening of Image and Likeness, an exhibit featuring sacred art primarily from local Catholic artists. Several events will be hosted in conjunction with the exhibit. Learn more about the exhibit and the Assisi Art Community here.
