September 9 - The Goals Issue

Goals are a tricky customer. If they're too ambitious, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Make them too easy and you feel you're letting yourself down. Hit the sweet spot between the two and the paradox of goals can emerge - once you achieve them, all the meaning they once provided seemingly disappears. The goal-hole opens up, hungry for the next. Covid was one momentous shifting of the goal posts. How, then, has our notion of goals - as things to set and then achieve - changed? This week on Crowd Source, we're going for gold.
