Come, let us worship God and celebrate His goodness and grace through the ministries of Mount Olive!
We will have an indoor worship service at 8 a.m. and an outdoor worship service at 10:30 a.m., with Bishop Paul Erickson preaching at both services. We are also welcoming the following guests: Brent Gustafson, Pastor Chuck Larson, and Pastor Suellen Myers.

Beginning September 19th, new fall worship service times will be 8 a.m. & 10 a.m., with 9:45 a.m. Gathering Time.
Our services will be livestreamed on our Facebook page, YouTube channel, and found on our webpage with a Facebook link. As of September 19th, our 9 a.m. Zoom worship will be suspended. The livestreamed recordings will also be available for your viewing 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Matching fund to support Afghan Refugees
As Wisconsin begins to welcome newly arriving Afghan individuals and families finding protection in the U.S., Lutheran Social Services-WI is a leader in resettlement efforts. LSS-WI is requesting financial support to assist the Afghans in finding suitable and healthy environments in which to live. In conjunction with the Mount Olive Ammparo and Service Teams, the Benevolence team is accessing ACTS benevolence funds to match up to $1,500 of donations from the congregation for LSS-WI Refugee fund. We have a great start on that effort as $340 was raised at the Acoustix concert on September 2nd. We invite your generous support throughout the month of September.

Wednesday Night & Sunday Morning Bible Study
- The Wednesday night Bible study class resumed on September 8th. This fall we will be doing an 11-week study of the New Testament book “The Letter to the Hebrews.” We meet for one hour at 6:30 p.m. New members are always welcome. If interested, or for more information, contact Dwight Cruikshank.
- The Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study will resume on Sunday, September 19th, at 9 a.m., with the study of 1st Peter. Hope to see you there. Contact Laura Conry with any questions.

“Session 1: Spirit of God: Revealer and resource
The Holy Spirit might be the most misunderstood or mysterious member of the Trinity, but the Spirit of scripture is not shy. Together we’ll uncover the bold, truth-telling Spirit active in our lives. After a quick review of the mystery of the Trinity, we’ll read parts of Jesus’ farewell discourse, and hear how the Spirit continues to reveal the truth of Jesus to us and to the world. We’ll discuss how the gift of the Holy Spirit is a resource for God’s people, giving us power we need to do God’s work.”
Don’t Munch Alone Bunch (DMAB)
If youre so moooo-ved join the Don’t Munch Alone Bunch on Tuesday, September 14th, at 11:30 a.m., at David Alan Alan’s in Mukwonago. Don’t feel you’ve been udderly left behind from the pandemic and don’t eat lunch alone, come and have lunch with us. We’ll save a chair for you to join us, no need to contact us before, just arrive and join the group. We pick eating places in or near Mukwonago and meet the second Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. Come on and join us for a wonderful fellowship activity. Volunteers Needed
Do you like working with children? Ascension Lutheran - Waukesha could use several more volunteers for the kids in their tutoring program. They range in age from preschool to high school. Tutoring will include doing fun learning activities and reading with the little ones and homework assistance and improving English skills for the older kids. They are a great group of kids and love being part of the program. Can you help make this successful? Tutoring begins September 18th. Training, materials and guidance will be provided. Invitation to Pray
You are invited to come and pray as we come together for contemplative prayer on the labyrinth. Join me for prayer with Holy Scripture using the ancient method of Lectio Divina, or you may choose to come for Centering Prayer, a prayer practice with silence as we simply rest in God’s presence for a twenty-minute period of time. No experience is needed for either of these quiet methods of praying. A simple desire to be with God is all that you need to bring. I invite you to come at any of these following times for this prayer opportunity. (schedule of dates & times below) If you want to participate but need a different time slot or if you have any questions or would like further explanation, please feel free to call any time.
