The Taliban are celebrating their victory after the complete withdrawal of US and NATO forces from Afghanistan. On the other hand, thousands of Afghans are crossing the borders of neighboring countries legally and illegally since the evacuation process ended at Kabul Airport on August 30, 2021.
- The ground has been laid for a “potential genocide” of Afghan Christians.
- The humanitarian crisis that is erupting since the return of the Taliban to power is likely to lead to genocide against Christians if the Biden administration does not act.
- The Taliban have a list of the names of Christians and are actively hunting them down.
- The US administration was fully aware of the situation that a radical Islamic group could eliminate Afghan Christians as soon as it took control.
- Why are these Afghan Christians not considered on humanitarian grounds.
- There are appoximaltely 12,000 to 18,000 Christians in Afghanistan.
- These Christians are mostly hidden from society in order to avoid persecution.
As far as we know, since the Taliban took over Afghanistan, hundreds of Christians have fled the country or gone into hiding in the mountains. Even some lucky ones have reached Iran.
