ABT Synod - Prayers for Pastor Jane Zinken
The following notification is being sent from the Synod office on behalf of Bishop Larry.Beloved of God,
May grace and peace be yours in abundance. (1 Peters 1:2a)
Together, as a Synod family, we are called to uphold in prayer family and friends who are in particular need.
I invite your prayers for Pastor Jane Zinken (retired, Edmonton) and her spouse, Pastor Bruce Zinken (interim - Ascension, Edmonton), as Pastor Jane undergoes knee replacement surgery today. Prayers for a successful surgery with no complications, and for healing are appreciated.
Perhaps the following might guide our prayer:
"God of grace and comfort, enfold Jane and Bruce with your mercy. Strengthen them with the shield of faith and enable them to trust you in all that lies ahead; heal Jane and bear her pain, keep her in peace and fix her heart on you; through Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord. "Almighty and merciful God, you are the only source of health and healing; you alone can bring calmness and peace. Grant to our sister, Jane, and our brother, Bruce, an awareness of your presence and a strong confidence in you. In Jane's pain, weariness, and anxiety, surround her with your care, protect her by your loving might, and grant to her once again the gifts of health and strength and peace; through Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord.
