It isn't too late to join one of the Small Groups!  Contact the person in charge of the group you are interested in to see if they still have room and to get their starting date.  Don't delay! Most groups are starting soon.

Carmichael Church is hosting a Youth Ministry training event September 18 from 2-5pm.  This is a national non-denominational event that will be streamed across the country.  You can bring as many people as you want from your church under one registration!  This is the third year that the Carmichael church has hosted, and it just gets better every year!  The prices go up as we get closer to the event. Contact the Church Office if you want to go and we will add you to the registration list.

Prayer Request Corner

Our church members and items to pray about this week:

1.  Covid is still running rampant.  The Rodriguez family has 3 members almost recovered and 3 to go.  Continuing to remember 10 year old Malachi and 5 year old Silas (who is on hospice). Also remember Doris Sterling as she continues with chemo, Char Wheeler and Charlie Hampel as they face upcoming procedures.  Christopher Swendson is home from the hospital, but still fighting an infection.

2.  Char Wheeler lost her sister-in-law this week and Lanni Aasen lost a brother-in-law.

3. Now is the time to pray for our families, church, and nation.  Pray for those who will watch the "Jesus in the Tabernacle" series, and all our friends who are newly baptized and preparing for baptism.  Prayer is a mission service every member can participate in.

If you have a need or a prayer request for our Prayer Corner, please contact Lanni at our new number 435-777-2200 ID Code 2475855#

 Information and Upcoming Events

- Sept 11 - Pastor David Resendes
Offering: World Budget (GC)

- IMPORTANT SCAM INFORMATION - In the last while we have had a number of scams hit various church members. The most recent involved someone impersonating Pastor David by text and asking for gift cards.  Please be careful and verify before acting.

- FEEDING MINISTRY UPDATE - We got approved by the Placer Food Bank, and started distributing in July.  Thank you for those who have given to our fund as it is much appreciated.  If you would like to donate, just write Feeding Ministry on the tithe envelope.  We are not taking any canned/packaged donations at this time, due to lack of storage.

- URGENT HOUSING NEEDED - Santos & Delcia Woder and family are in need of housing.  If you know of a place that might work for them, please contact Pastor David, the office, or the Woder family.

- PIANISTS NEEDED - Our Beginner's Sabbath School Class is in need of piano players to volunteer on a rotating basis.  If you have some piano experience and love children's smiling faces contact Debbi Christensen or the office.  Copies of the music can be provided in advance.

- COVID UPDATE FROM THE NCC - The State of California issued new guidance following the recent update by the CDC. The new guidance recommends mask wearing indoors for all people, vaccinated or not. The Northern California Conference is asking us to announce this information.  Please note this is a recommendation from the State and not a requirement.  This new guidance is due to the increase in COVID cases that are tied to the new variants.

- SMALL GROUP SIGN-UPS - Our Small Groups are getting ready to start.  Be sure and pick-up a brochure this week at church describing the groups that are available, look them over, and sign-up for something of interest to you before it fills up.  Space is limited in certain groups.

- CARE & COMPASSION - Women's Ministry Care & Compassion cancer group will begin meeting in-person once again starting Thur, Sept 9 from 2-4pm in the Founders Room.  Whether you are already a member, or are interested in becoming one, please plan on joining us for a few hours of fellowship.  We will be putting together "Cancer Blessing Bags" and also studying about how God cares for us.  For more information contact Pam Ramsey.

- ABC DEAL OF THE MONTH - "Pray Big" is a very real story of the power of prayer to change lives.  God can do so much more if we just ask.  Learn more about this book at www.adventistbookcenter.com and don't forget to use code #73104.

- BIBLE STUDY - Tuesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00pm.  We are currently studying 1 Samuel.  Contact the McSherry's at mcsherrys@gmail.com to be put on the weekly email list to get the Zoom invite.

- VESPERS SQUAD - We are a community of young adults from the greater Sacramento area that grow closer to God through achieving #squadgoals. Join our group chat so that you can be in the loop of weekly vespers, hikes, camping trips, and outreach. Download the app GroupMe and click this link to join:
http://bit.ly/vespers-squad.

- PHONE PRAYER:  MONDAY (10-11am or 7-8pm) call (435) 777-2200, and use Code 2475855# - you can join the call for 5 minutes or the entire hour.  If you are hungry for some fellowship, join us this Monday for our weekly prayer call.

- ORDERING FROM ADVENTIST BOOK CENTER: Anytime you order, except subscriptions, from AdventistBookCenter.com, give them our church code #73104.  This 5 digit code must be entered for each purchase made through AdventistBookCenter.com for us to receive credit.
