Hello, dear friends and prayer warriors!

We just wanted to touch base and let you know what's new at English4Life and how you can be a part of it!

Currently we are in week 5 of our Fall 2021 term. We have 10 students, (the most that we've ever had at once!), as well as 3 amazing teachers who came from the US to teach English and the Bible for 2 months. One thing that makes this ministry unique is that it takes a team from all over the world to accomplish our ministry goals. We are so glad that these three ladies crossed the Atlantic to be a part of our teaching team for this semester.
Maybe YOU would like to serve with us at
English4Life for a term too?
As mentioned above, we are currently in week 5 of our Fall Term! This means that we're past the halfway point in our term. Our students have already noticed a lot of progress since their arrival only a few weeks ago, but in the span of the next 4 weeks, they'll see so much more.

We appreciate your prayers for a successful second half of our term and for God's guidance for our students as many of them decide "what's next" after E4L. Many of them have already decided that they want to come back for another term!
What's NEW at English4Life Poland?
Introducing.... English Cafe Zgierz!
For about a year, we have prayed about and waited for the right timing to start an in-person English Cafe at a local coffee shop in town. This Fall, we were finally able to start this outreach! We've met twice so far, and have another meeting planned for November 9th. Please pray for many unsaved guests to come!

Pictured above is our most recent meeting on Tuesday, October 19th. We had 14 people total. (5 of our students, 4 teachers, and 5 guests from our community!)

How can I be involved in the ministry of English4Life in Poland?

Because the Polish borders are now open to Americans (PRAISE THE LORD!), we look forward to having MANY volunteers come to Poland to serve with us in various ways as a part of our volunteer staff.

Here is a list of current opportunities
for the 2021-2022 school year:

1. Plan a trip to Poland!
Even if you are not interested in teaching English at English4Life, there are several other ways that you could serve with us during a term.
Current staffing needs:  English / Bible Teachers, Kitchen Staff, Dean of Men, Dean of Women, Maintenance

2022 Term dates:
  • Winter 2022: January 9 - March 11 2022*
  • Spring 2022: April 3 - June 3 2022
  • Fall 2022: September 25 - November 18 2022
*includes 1 week of WOL Winter Camp in Zakopane
Note: Arrival/departure dates are usually 1 week-5 days prior and 1-2 days post-term.

2. Support an E4L student!
For the past few semesters, we have offered scholarships to several students to come to English4Life! Because of the generosity of a few prayer warriors, several of our students were able to come at a very low cost (or some completely free!) Each student that comes to English4Life not only learns English but is challenged to grow spiritually.
For one student to come to E4L, the cost is $800/semester. In Poland, it's not typical to pay for school, and many who just finish high school have nothing to put toward their education. If the Lord leads you to give financially toward student scholarships, this will enable more people to be a part of this life-changing program. 3. Be a Journal partner/Conversation partner:
If you are interested in getting to personally know one of our students in future terms and are unable to come here yourself, you may enjoy being a journal partner (aka e-mail pen pal) or a conversation partner (video chat with a student 1/week) for a term! Let us know if you'd be interested in hearing more details. Both of these opportunities are GREAT ways to be involved in the ministry from a distance.

4. Lead a small group on our Online English Cafe!
All year we host an Online English Cafe every Wednesday at 12pm EST on Zoom (exceptions include summer and some holidays)! This is an evangelistic outreach during which volunteers from the US and Canada lead small group discussions in "Breakout Rooms" about various topics using the materials we give them each week. We've had a great turnout for these meetings, and we usually need about 7-8 small group leaders to help lead conversation groups.

There is no charge for these meetings, and there is no need for small group leaders to be qualified teachers--just that they are native speakers! Teaching experience will be helpful though. :)

5. PRAY!
We would love if you could pray for us about these things:
-Wisdom with how to continue to grow the ministry and raise our student numbers
-Our English Cafe Online and in Zgierz
-For God to supply the staffing and student needs that we have for our upcoming 2022 terms (Winter & Spring terms especially!!)
-Upcoming Thanksgiving Outreach on November 13th
