The Big Give is an annual fundraising campaign to help non-profits fundraise and connect with their community. This year the Big Give will run from Thursday, September 16th to Thursday, September 23rd, and Meals on Wheels San Antonio has decided to go big! We need your help to raise $45,000!
Why do we need to raise that much money, you ask? Great question! As the pandemic continues to be a hardship for our senior and homebound neighbors, they continue to look to Meals on Wheels San Antonio and you for assistance. As such, we need your help expanding our service area and reach. The $45,000 you help raise will not only purchase a new delivery truck but also the specialized equipment like coolers and warmers. Helping to deliver more meals to more seniors. No matter which part of South Central Texas they’re in. If you give a gift of $100 or more your name will become a permanent part of that truck and you travel with it as it delivers nutrition and care.
Since 2014, you have helped Meals on Wheels San Antonio and hundreds of other local non-profits reach their fundraising goals and better serve their community. Every month, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, Meals on Wheels San Antonio hosts a caregiver support group where caregivers come to find resources, ideas, and, most importantly, support.
In addition to the Support Group, Grace Place is expanding the services it provides to those living with dementia, and their loved ones and caregivers. These include Grace at Home, which delivers at-home care packages; Grace Notes Choir, a fun and social musical therapy session designed specifically for those living with dementia; and, of course, our Grace Place Director, Christina, is always available to answer questions and provide insight and support whenever you need it. We are excited to continue to expand Grace Place, and new services will become available in the future to better support caregivers and those living with dementia.

It's time to Drive to Deliver! On October 25th SWBC will be hosting a golf tournament benefiting Meals on Wheels San Antonio. The entry fee is $150 and proceeds will be donated to Meals on Wheels San Antonio and used to better serve the seniors and homebound members of our community. Hope to see you at Tee Off!
Our annual Thanksgiving is just a couple of months away! This year the Thanksgiving delivery event takes place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25th and will see volunteers deliver the holidays to thousands of seniors and homebound members of our community.
