Message from the SHYC Commodore

Hi Everybody-

One last weekend with me at the helm before I officially turn it over to Whitney on Wednesday.

The launch is up and running both this weekend and next - so there is still time to use your boat! All other functions at the Club have closed for the season. Keep reading for some more information on what's happening over the next few weeks as we button up for the season:


Weekend Launch Service - Sat + Sun from 8am-5pm
The launch will continue to run from 8am to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday of this weekend and next. Next weekend (Sept 18-19) will be the final time the launch will run until next spring, so plan your haul-out date at the boatyard accordingly.


Wedding at the Club on Saturday (Sept 11)
The Clubhouse will be closed on Saturday, September 11 for a wedding. If you are down at the Club to use the launch, please be mindful of the wedding and use the side walkway.


Fall Work Party - Sat, Sept 18 @ 8:30am
The Fall Work Party will be held next Saturday, September 18 @ 8:30am. We'll be carrying boats into the ballroom and boarding up the Club. Many hands make light work, so come on down and lend your muscles!


Remove Boats from Docks
Please be sure to remove all your boats (paddleboards, kayaks, optis, lasers, dinghies, etc.) from the docks. They will be disconnected and hauled around after next weekend. 


Fall Mooring Drop
This will happen in early-to-mid October. Stay tuned for more information on that front. You can reach out to Harbor Manager Eric Davidson at harbormanagersh@gmail.com with any questions or if you want to volunteer to help!
