Calling All Fluff Lovers!

This year’s What the Fluff? Festival, Sweet 16: Onward & Fluffward is just around the corner!

From Wednesday, September 22 thru Sunday, September 26 Fluff enthusiasts throughout Greater Boston can share their love for all things sticky, sweet, and Somerville as local businesses open their doors and patios with flufftastic offerings galore.

This year’s festival will also immerse fluffy friends in a Fluff-topia, which presents a whole new way to get a bit messy or with us or help others engage with these brand new offerings!!

Looking to have fun and meet your neighbors? Join us as a volunteer! Whether it’s through painting sidewalks and cobblestones with CultureHouse, or welcoming Square lovers to engage with our specially-curated Fluff-topia art pieces, we think you’d have a fluffin great time.

Shopping Safely for All

Many thanks to everyone who provided input on our COVID-19 Protocols.

Please review our updated policies below.

These protocols will be reviewed monthly and adjusted accordingly, including reverting back to previous protocols, if USMS feels it is necessary.

  1. Customers who are sick, displaying any symptoms of potential sickness, or have come into contact with anyone who is sick in the past 14 days should STAY HOME.
  2. Wear a mask or face covering at all times. Customers without face coverings that cover both their nose and mouth will not be permitted in the Market.
  3. Use the provided hand sanitizer upon entrance to the Market area.
  4. The first 30 minutes of each Market is designated for high-risk shoppers.
Open air access to local, fresh, nutrient-dense foods
continues to be more important than ever.

It is important to many to be able to continue to provide this important community resource, but as always, the safety of our neighbors, staff, volunteers and vendors remain USMS’ top priority.
Thank you for joining us in ensuring a safe environment for all.

#LoveUnionSquare
Open air access to fresh, local, healthy food vital to strong immune systems in the heart of Union Square has been made possible this year thanks to the generosity of our 2021 Season Sponsor.

The Union Square Farmers Market is both a meaningful and essential service for the residents of Somerville during this time of optimism for the community, and the Boynton Yards team is humbled to support this effort again this year.
