Second Drop Off Lane Available

Dear Frederick Families,
We hope that you have had an excellent start to the school year and can enjoy a long weekend.
Starting on Tuesday 9/7, we will open up a 2nd dropoff lane to help relieve the congestion in our front parking lot and Tipple Parkway.
Parents will now have the option to drop students off on both the east and the west sides of the building. When using the new west side dropoff, please allow the busses to drive on the "inside" lane, and use only the outside lane as marked in the diagram. We will be out to assist this new dropoff next week.
Students parking on campus, please continue to use the main east parking lot, and purchase your parking pass.

Homecoming is just around the corner! You know what that means!? It’s time for the Frederick High School 2021 Homecoming Parade. Please make sure to review the attached forms, and fill out the parade application and permission slip and return them to FHS. The deadline for entry is September 20, 2021.

Getting to Know Advisory
Part 4: Social Emotional Learning
This week we conclude our overview of what FHS students are learning in respect to social emotional learning as a part of their Advisory class. According to a 2017 Edutopia online article, “Numerous research reports show that social and emotional learning can have a positive impact on students' academic performance.”
Each week students either focus on or have the opportunity to develop a greater sense of personal health and wellness. Topics include self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, goal-directed behavior, personal responsibility, decision-making, and optimistic thinking.
