NYC DOT Launches New EV Fast Charging Stations
Today NYC Department of Transportation celebrated the installation of the first four of 28 electric vehicle DC fast charging (DCFC) plugs at city-owned municipal garages. The fast charging stations can be found at the Essex Street Municipal Parking Garage. New York City is currently working on initiatives to grow the city-operated fast charging network to over 80 plugs by 2025 and create a network of 1,000 curbside charge points across the five boroughs by 2025, increasing to 10,000 by 2030.
We look forward to seeing these initiatives grow and increased to public charging for all New Yorkers!
