2021 CMAWA SCM Annual Golf Day

Last chance to sponsor the event and to enter your team in our annual golf day!

Last call for golf day team registrations

Email our Executive Officer, Nikki, at eo@cmawa.com.au to register your team of 4 asap as registrations are closing start of September.

Golf Day Sponsors

We have had a great response for a Major Sponsor (SCM Group) and a Drinks Sponsor (Jobman) for the golf day, though we need many more individual hole sponsors.

Please contact Nikki at eo@cmawa.com.au to register your interest in being a hole sponsor.

As a hole sponsor:
  • Your business gets coverage on all our socials and on the golf day, that other companies will not get.
  • You also get to set up signs at your hole and choose a novelty hole, to which you can provide a gift at the dinner for the winner of the hole.
  • You can also hand out items with your company branding on them on the golf day and get 2 x tickets to the golf day; all for only $1600!

We need your support to ensure the success of this great day!

Our Major Sponsor for this year's annual golf day event is SCM!

SCM Group Australia is a solution driven company, providing technologically advanced machinery for the woodworking industry to companies throughout Australia.

The CMAWA Committee is excited to have the SCM team on board as this year's golf day major sponsor.

National Skills Week

On Friday 27th of August the CMAWA President, Ugo De Laurentis, was interviewed as part of National Skills Week, together with with Carlo Gossatti (Chair of the Food, Fibre & Timber Industries Training Council WA), and Kay Gerrard (FFTITC CEO) by TV Personality Christina Morrissey.
The discussion was to encourage young people to enter into Cabinet Making by explaining the benefits of the trade.

We were able to discuss how technology has affected, changed and enhanced our trade, as well as jobs of the future within manufacturing, Vocational Education and training pathways for young people, and the rich history of the Timber and Furnishings industry here in WA.

Christina Morrissey provided an informative, relaxed atmosphere and facilitated the discussion between suppliers, training coordinators and manufacturers.

Thank you to Carlo, Kay, Christina and FFTITC's Industry Consultant, Janine Blake, for involving the CMAWA in this event. We hope that events like National Skills Week we can encourage the interest of many young people to take up apprenticeships in our industry.

MAJOR SPONSOR SHOWCASE

Artia’s new range of TOPAZ adjustable soft-close runners for undermount installation

Adjustable soft-close feature

The closing strength can be increased by 25% for heavier drawers by simply tuning the Phillips screw on the soft-close mechanism.

A perfectly functioning soft-close, regardless of drawer application, i.e. in a bathroom vanity that contains toiletries, or a kitchen with pots and pans.

Perfect for cabinet makers who wish to upgrade their drawer design from side-mounted ball-bearing runners to a more elegant, i.e. hidden, solution.

Available in NL300 to NL550, these are a potential alternative for previous Dynapro / Dynamoov users at a much more attractive price.

Compared to ball-bearing runners, they offer the additional benefit of convenient 3D front panel adjustment via the installation clip. As they are synchronised, they can be used in wider kitchen drawers, such as KB900.

Tested to 50,000 open/close cycles with a 30kg load capacity.
