Apartment Engage
Apartment Engage is our strategy to engage local apartment residents with the gospel. We do this by regularly praying for people living in new apartment buildings in Wollongong, as well as regular letterbox drops with postcards advertising St Michael’s ministries and events. Here's how you can help:

1. Prayer. Sign up to pray for a specific block of new apartments in Wollongong, and a one-off letterbox drop with a series of 3-4 postcards. This requires ongoing prayer for residents to know Christ and our opportunities to engage with them.

2. Postcards. Sign up to letterbox drop postcards (eg: Christmas / Easter / Lockdown ‘connect with us’) to allocated street/s in Wollongong either annually or as a one-off. There are still 8 different streets that need to be 'adopted', so please contact the office or Samantha if you'd like to help with this.

The specific postcards in our current letterbox drop are aimed at pointing people towards our Livestream and the ease of joining services from the comfort of your own home. We encourage everyone to be particularly praying for Wollongong locals to connect with us online. An image of the back of the postcard will be shared within our Facebook group.

A Good Pastor- Paul's Timothy
Minister's Letter- Reg Piper

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I wonder how you are travelling with the pandemic? I wonder how you are going knowing that two of our very able senior staff will soon leave us? These can be unsettling times, so what can we do about it? Well, the obvious thing for the Christian is to do, is to read the Bible to see the type of pastors that God approves and pray that God will send them to us.

Does the Bible have anything to say about pastors who have Apostolic approval? The one who came to my mind was Timothy. As a young man he certainly made a solid commitment to Christ. He grew up in a town which approved of paganism, a synagogue that was against Christianity, a family where the father was a Greek by philosophy and where the mother and grandmother knew the Hebrew scriptures. He chose against the town and synagogue and his father and for the Christ who fulfilled the scriptures. And when choosing, he knew the preacher of Jesus Christ had been stoned and left for dead just outside his town for the message he preached. Now that’s a pastor who was decidedly for Christ and his gospel!
