Here it comes...

I am an unabashed Trekkie.

No, I don't go to Star Trek conventions or dress up as Spock. But I have always loved Star Trek (in its various TV and movie iterations), and one of my favorite scenes is from the movie Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, when Captain Kirk promises the evil renegade Khan that he's about to receive something.

What's coming, of course, is a phaser blast.

I'm not wielding any space-age weapons. But I do have something amazing to share with you, and you've been seeing hints - some small bits, and some large pieces (like my book Clarity Wins) - for years as I've worked it out. Now, here it comes....

The Clarity Formula for Effective Communication.

We'll start with first things first. We have 7.9 billion people on this planet - but you and I are actually communicating with an audience of ONE. So, let's begin with the end in mind...our singular audience. The human brain.

The link above will explain something very profound - our common neurobiological target audience. This is the absolute foundation of the brain-based Clarity Formula - the foundation of ALL effective communication.

In subsequent messages, I'll unveil the other key principles of the Clarity framework, which clients are now using to fuel improved sales, marketing, leadership, networking, and internal collaboration.

For now, let's marvel at this fact: maybe this effective communication thing is a lot less complicated than we thought! Because our audience is predictable: the human brain wants what it wants, the way it wants it.

We're going to give it what it yearns for. Clarity.

Warm regards,

Steve Woodruff

For my other Star Trek fans - my favorite series (after the original) was definitely The Next Generation. And my favorite two movies were The Wrath of Khan and First Contact (though I really enjoyed the more recent re-boot movies a lot, especially the first two). You??
