Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey have now hosted over 5 million Syrian refugees for a decade – with few solutions in sight.
New research from the World Refugee & Migration Council (WRMC), with support from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and Cuso International, looks at long-term prospects for refugees in the three countries in the region: Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.
The new reports put a particular focus on how countries hosting large numbers of refugees can be more effectively supported by the international community.
The research was carried out by the Centre for Lebanese Studies, IGAM Academy in Turkey and three economists looking at the Jordanian situation and was supported by a research advisory group of experts from the region.
Join us September 9 in for this panel discussion to launch the three reports and hear firsthand from the researchers about the economic impact of the refugees on the three countries and their recommendations for mobilizing additional international support.
