CareSearch Portal virtual launch

Our project partner CareSearch will launch its new portal on 21 September 2021. Join the virtual launch to learn how the portal was built and how it will support patients, families, health professionals, and communities to make informed decisions.

palliAGED modules update 

The palliAGED Introduction Modules for aged care nurses have been well-received by the aged care sector. Covering 10 essential topics, the evidence-based modules provide an easy way for nurses to get started in palliative care or to refresh your understanding of care concepts. Email us if you would like to add the modules to your organisation's LMS. You can also read the latest blog to see how others are using the modules.

Sector News

OPAN and ACPA joint position statement

Advance Care Planning Australia (APCA) and the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) have released a joint position statement. The two organisations are advocating for improved awareness and understanding of the advance care planning needs of older people to enable greater choice and control over their future medical treatment decisions. 

Changes to collecting feedback on complaints process  

Starting this September, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission will be using a new feedback survey to collect information on complaints process from aged care providers. The new feedback survey will be simplified and refocused, and will take less time to complete.
