2021-22 Community Funding Program launches 🚀
The Community Funding Program for 2021 to 2022 is now open with over $300,000 in funding available across 10 funding streams to support a range of initiatives, events and activities.

The newest funding stream, the Local Strengthening Fund, aims to enhance wellbeing and development of our community.

Whether you're a creative, community group, not-for-profit, business or something else – this is your chance to make that creative, big thinking project happen!

Learn to tell your story with this writing workshop ✏️

It's not always easy to write a story about ourselves. Sometimes we don't know what we want to talk about, or we don't know how to start. Tomaree Library is holding a free online event for young people on Monday 6 September from 4 to 5pm to provide some hints and tips!

In this Heywire workshop, an ABC producer takes you through the storytelling process, from helping you find your own unique story to then getting your thoughts and ideas on paper. The workshop also includes videos of true stories from past Heywire winners, and plenty of opportunity for discussion and to ask questions.

Support during COVID-19 📞
Lockdown is hard, especially not being able to connect with friends and family. Make sure you check out what community support is available to you, like FriendLine.

FriendLine is for anyone who needs to reconnect or just wants a chat.

Online student support 📝
eTutors Project was founded with the goal of helping students who are struggling at school by providing every child with access to the resources they need to succeed.

All tutors are volunteers – find the extra support your child needs!

The shared pathway on Medowie Road, Medowie was finished off this week after the team trimmed and shaped up all the batters and seeded these areas.

It is all ready for you to grab the kids and their bikes or scooters and have a run!
