Cabinet session update
During Cabinet’s regular session on Tuesday, the working group in charge of reducing the corruption perceptions index reported that a total of 89.5 billion MNT in compensation for corruption-related crimes was collected and will be used to finance the development of the e-government program. 
In accordance with a decree from President U. Khurelsukh, the state scholarship guide was updated. Students who have shown academic excellence in internationally recognized competitions, and in their region, will be eligible for government scholarships. 
Cabinet approved a custom and value-added tax exemption for Remdesivir, a medication used to treat COVID-19.
Minister of Justice and Home Affairs Kh. Nyambaatar and Chief of the National Police Agency J. Bold were instructed to take appropriate measures to establish a National Policy Agency unit to combat crimes against cultural heritage. 
President U. Khurelsukh meets with the Ambassador of India    
President U. Khurelsukh received the Ambassador of India to Mongolia, M.P. Singh. The sides noted that the two countries have been actively cooperating and supporting each other, even during the pandemic.
It was agreed that the two countries should continue to work extensively to ensure the timely and successful implementation of the oil refinery project, which is a significant example of the strategic partnership between the two countries. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on increasing trade turnover between the two countries and intensifying the launch of pilot shipments of coking coal for export to India.
Economic recovery plan update
Cabinet reported that the implementation of the 10 trillion MNT comprehensive plan to protect health and revive the economy is 78.1 percent complete. As of August 27, 1.82 trillion MNT was disbursed to 24,040 borrowers. Within the framework to support employment, up to 2 trillion MNT in three-year loans with an annual interest rate of three percent have been planned. 
Cabinet also said that it is drafting a bill to intensify economic growth during the pandemic. The bill will include specific arrangements to increase exports and create a favorable business environment.
Coal export resumes at Gashuunsukhait-Gantsmod Port
The government has announced that coal transportation at Gashuunsukhait-Gantsmod Port is reopening after being suspended due to the status of COVID-19 infections. On August 31, the Chinese side tested more than 150 drivers and resumed coal truck processing, SXCoal reported.
Minister of Finance B. Javkhlan reported that the construction of a customs area for coal container exchanges at the port has been completed and tested over the past 50 days. The facility will allow Mongolian and Chinese drivers to exchange containers without making physical contact. With the opening of the new facility, 9.6 million tons of coal stored at Tsagaankhad can be processed.
