*Geoff is a soft spoken, lovely gentleman living in Earlsdon. He has spent many years living in London before moving to Coventry in lockdown. He loves the outdoors and used to go camping a lot. His previous jobs include working as a postman through to accounts. He is also looking for a church. Geoff would prefer a male befriender to visit in an evening. City of Culture Faith event
Faith is a 24-hour invitation to explore big questions through the beliefs of people of faith, and of non-religious world views, through music, theatre, installation, and ritual. Throughout the day, arts will be created in locations across the city and online, finishing in a ceremony of light everyone can take part in. Faith runs from Friday 10th Sept - Saturday 11th September.
As part of the Faith event, The Open House on Saturday 11th September, is a chance for faith spaces across Coventry to open their doors and welcome in audiences, offering them a chance to experience their faith. Various churches will invite people inside to learn more about their beliefs, practices and work in the community. Whether through a performance of sacred music, a shared cup of tea, a chance to observe prayer, or simply the discovery of a space for quiet reflection, this event is sure to open hearts and minds.
Find out more about Faith here, and Open House here. Keep an eye on HOPE Coventry's social media channels for venue details; current venues include CLM, Friends Meeting House, and All Souls Chapelfields.

MotoFest finale concert review
On Sunday 8th August a city centre concert organised by HOPE Coventry took place. 150 attendees celebrated together as churches in the city. Since 2018, churches have gathered for HOPE@MotoFest. This year, Dave Scott-Morgan of ELO performed and told his faith journey. Rob Halligan's band followed, with the highlight finale singing “The Blessing” over our city. It was great to have a presence in Coventry's heart during MotoFest and to praise God together. Thanks to the team who worked hard to run the event. We look forward to being part of MotoFest on Greyfriars Green in 2022.
